Pamela Dries, CFP, CDFA
Senior Wealth Manager
Pamela has more than 22 years experience in the financial services industry. Her career began in banking, gaining valuable insight via positions in both Private and Commercial Lending as well as managing potentially insolvent accounts. Pamela was licensed as a full service Wealth Advisor over 14 years ago. Pamela earned a Bachelors degree focused on economics, the Certified Financial Planner designation as well as the Level 1 and Level 2 Insurance License. In addition to the CFP designation, Pamela is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. This allows her to advise families on the financial matters involved with separation and divorce. Her extensive financial industry experience enables her to provide clients with prudent and knowledgeable advice. Pamela is Treasurer of her Toronto neighbourhood Rathnelly Day Association Committee. Married and the proud mother of two boys, Pamela lives an active lifestyle enjoying family time at their country home near Creemore, Ontario.

Stuart M.C. Smith, FMA, CIM, FCSI, CFP, CIMA
Senior Wealth Manager, Associate Portfolio Manager
Stuart has been a Wealth Manager for over 7 years and partner with the Dries/Smith group since 1999. He ran a successful private business during university, and joined the financial industry after graduating with an Honours degree in Commerce. Stuart has successfully earned the designations: Financial Management Advisor, Canadian Investment Manager, Certified Financial Planner, Certified Investment Management Analyst, and Fellow of The Canadian Securities Institute and holds the Level I and Level II Insurance License. Stuart is also licensed in Options and Futures. In addition, Stuart is now a Discretionary Portfolio Manager offering accounts in excess of $1 million the most convenient wealth management service available. Stuart is licensed in Ontario, Alberta, BC, as well as Florida and South Carolina. Stuart is an accomplished pilot, a member of Big Brothers, a board member of the Canadian Special Olympics' Motionball fund-raising arm, President of the St. Andrews College Alumni Association, Co-President of the 12 Mile Lake Owners Association and father of one son. He occupies his free time with Squash, Skiing, Golf and piloting his Cessna 172 to his cottage in the Haliburton Highlands.

John Boast
John has been with the Scotiabank Group for the last four years which has provided him with a wealth of experience. He joined the Dries/Smith Group of ScotiaMcLeod in March of 2005. John has completed the Canadian Securities Course, as well as an Economics degree. John is now the second private pilot within the Dries/Smith Group. He is the head of our administration and looks forward to helping clients with questions or needs of an administrative nature.

John Michael Durrant
John Michael is our Insurance specialist. John Michael joined ScotiaMcLeod in 2002, holds an Honours degree and has over 10 years' experience in the insurance field. Within the Dries/Smith Group, John Michael focuses on tax-driven insurance strategies and estate planning. We look to assist our high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs and business owners in meeting their specific goals for building, preserving and passing on their wealth. Where appropriate, these strategies can include tax-sheltered accumulation, enhanced income, reductions of estate tax, and elimination of deferred embedded tax in privately-held companies
